Music Wednesday – Trip Lee and “Dig In”

Today’s “Music Wednesday” features Trip Lee and his song “Dig In” from 13 Letters.

I’ve recently “discovered” Celtic Thunder, an Irish Quintet in the same vein of Celtic Woman.

This is the first song on their first album, as well as the first song performed at their concert (I think).

I don’t know the heart and mind of Phil Coulter, the man who wrote this song, but it has an encouraging spiritual application, especially in light of the recent Hurricane Ike.

Music Wednesday – Keith L. Cooper

This guy, Keith L. Cooper, is one of the best guitarists I’ve ever seen.  My brother-in-law rode to a camp with him and heard/watched him play and he said that Cooper’s ability is astounding.  Check it out for yourself.

Music Wednesday – Lecrae

Last week I posted a video by Lecrae singing “Send Me” at Mars Hill Church.  Since then, I’ve come across a video of this song put together by History Makers.

Also, I found these videos be Lecrae of him singing “Fanatic”.  The first video has a great clip of him talking before the song, but the song itself has a fairly poor quality.  So, I also found a video from what looks like the same concert that is a little better quality (without the pre-song chat).

Music Wednesday = NoiseTrade = Free Music

If there is anyone reading this who is a big fan of music and who might also happen to be a big fan of free stuff, I would suggest you go to NoiseTrade.com.   Basically, you give them three emails of friends and they will let you download any of the albums of the independent artists that they support.  (Note that it is three emails per album)  I’ve downloaded all of ‘em just because I love music and I love free stuff and I must say that for the most part the music is pretty good.  For those who might know me and my musical tastes, they’ll know that the free Ringing Bell album by Derek Webb is of course my favorite that NoiseTrade makes available, but also check out Gravity/Love by Webb’s wife, Sandra McCracken.  I also listened to some of Alli Rogers stuff, and she’s a decent artist as well.

Anyways, well worth checking out if you have the chance to.
